Meet Liz and David
We kicked off 2015 with the Boyett wedding. We met Liz at one of our first wedding expos of 2014. (So tip for brides, it’s never too early to book and lock in the 2015 pricing.)
The wedding reception took place at the Amici Restaurant in St. Augustine Beach. The restaurant has a separate banquet hall that holds up to 150 guests. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and I hope to make my way back for the stuffed shrimp!
When I turned 30 a few years ago, I went to Italy. Once all of the vendors were setup for the cocktail hour, it felt like a nice evening in the piazza (square.) In addition to our photo booth, the couple also had a wonderful guitar player, Richard Kuncicky, and the very talented caricature artist Irene Franz. The guests had so much to do, while they waited for the couple to make their way to the venue.
The couple’s wedding colors were red and white. We settled on this fun strip below that mimicked elements from the couple’s wedding invitation.
There was no specific theme for props, but we did make sure we incorporated the colors of the wedding into our prop selection. The booth was such a hit, the couple decided to extend our stay at the wedding to allow their guests to continue the fun.
Oh, btw my bride enjoys belly dancing, so it was only fitting for her to belly dancing entertainment at the wedding. I have seen belly dancers before, but never with a crown of lit candles. JoAnna from Palm Coast Belly Dance was awesome!!!!! I made this quick video capturing some of her dance.
The DJs from Steppin Out Sounds was also great. This husband and wife team did a great job of playing the right music for the moments of the reception. Also, as we were packing up for the night, the DJs pulled out their own props as the guests hit the dance floor. This was such a fun wedding, and by the end of the night I felt like family. A few weeks after the wedding, I received a text from Liz, saying that she can’t wait for us to be a part of future family celebrations. It just warmed my heart, and even more excited about the opportunity that I have to participate in events.
Speaking of a warmed heart, the wonderful photographers at Peach and Oak Photography captured this gem of the couple’s daughter with one of the photo booth strips.
I would love for Props! to be at your next event, contact us to get more information.
