We had so much fun with Sean and Sara at their beautiful rustic wedding at The Club Continental. This was my first time at the venue and if you’re a bride and you are still searching for a venue you must check this one out. It sits off the St Johns River and is reminiscent to a beautiful villa in Europe. The hotel was actually the winter home of Caleb Johnson, heir to the Palmolive Soap Company. It was built in 1923 and has lush gardens and provides a very romantic setting.
I met Sean and Sara in January at the Bridal Expo held at UNF. They were full of energy at the expo, and their wedding did not disappoint. The bride/groom gave me a tall order with the concept for their wedding: dark grey, blush and cobalt blue. The couple was inspired by flowers on a dark gray backdrop.
For their strip I chose a chalkboard label wrapped in flowers on a white background.
Since the bride loved the chalkboard feel I chose to make their guestbook paper black. The guests wrote with white or silver ink to give that chalk board look.
