Meet#dilbertpartyof2 or should I say Shawn & Ceirra Dilbert.I will be honest, I was a bit nervous to do their wedding. Ceirra was a wedding guest at not one but two of our previous weddings. I pride myself on making each experience unique for my customers so I wanted to make sure that the #dilbertpartyof2 booth was no different.
The couple chose the color pallet lavender, silver, and green for their wedding. I loved the whimsy of their wedding invitation and the strip that they chose mirrored it.
The couple are big hip hop fans, and told me to incorporate hip hop into my prop selection. So we had big chains, a boom box, and MJ glove just to name a few props.
The wedding itself definitely gave off a Brown Sugar/Hip Hop vibe. The DJ, DJ Whiz Kidd from 93.3 the Beat made me feel like I was in college again. He played the BEST music and everyone was on the dance floor all night. Another unique feature of this wedding that gave a nod to the hip hop vibe was the surprise Flash Mob. What started out as a father/daughter dance turned into a choreographed dance that included wedding guests and the bridal party. There were so many great details but if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be the bride’s Kangol from her dance with her dad.
Whenever possible, I like to incorporate my grooms. Shawn is a big eagles fan. I had a custom Philadelphia Eagles prop set created from Old Market Etsy store for this couple.
